First, look at this cute baby who came over to play!
For Jackson's, I added beef stock for flavor and moisture and also a generous amount of this stuff:
Ghee. It's clarified butter, which means the milk solids have been removed. Which means no casein! It's not as great as regular butter, but it's definitely wonderful to have on hand for Jackson's foods.
Next up, we went to a birthday party.
Afterwards we hit the play area.
Then Noah always has to ride the carousel.
Jackson was sick for a few days.
Oh, speaking of shoe shopping. I bought Jackson some Stride Rite shoes at Dillards. Then I stopped at Stride Rite to get some Crocs for Noah. I wasn't going to get any for Jackson since he hated them last summer. But, there was a buy one get one 1/2 off sale going on, so I went ahead and got them both a pair. Guess which shoes Jackson wants to wear all the time? Yep, the Crocs. He was at school when I took this picture, and You can see his new shoes on the left of Noah's shoes. Noah's Crocs are on the bottom. Incidently, Noah doesn't want to wear his Crocs. Kids, I swear.
Next we went to a party for a good friend of ours. It was an adult party, but the kids sort of took over. Throwing couch cushions on the floor was a big hit.
Noah, getting down with all the ladies.
Going under London Bridge. He loves playing with the girls!
Noah, in a turtle shell.
Llama. Have you ever read the book Llama Llama Mad At Mama? It's one of Noah's favorites.
Jackson didn't want to ride the zoo carousel...
so Noah got to use his ticket to ride twice!
Walking back through the medical district to get to our car. We had to park in a garage a mile away. It was crazy at the zoo that day.
We also went to the Aquarium Pyramid at Moody Gardens in Galveston!

While down in the Houston, we stayed with Uncle Nick and Aunt Gerri. They had a Wii.

Cousin Cody has a drum set. And no, Noah does NOT need his own, Grandma.
Oops, this picture is out of order. It's the beach at Galveston.
Back home we went to Uno's Chicago Pizzeria in downtown Fort Worth. They have gluten-free crusts! Jackson hasn't been out for pizza since September. We got it without cheese, of course. See that one missing piece? That was for Noah. He ate the rest all on his own. It wasn't a child size either, but it was $11 well spent.
Next up, Spring Break! We went down to Houston to visit family. We saw everyone. Uncle Nick and Aunt Gerri and the cousins, Nicholas, Micah, and Cody. Grandma and Paw Paw. Grandpa. Ba Ngoai. Uncles Tuan, Gilbert, and Johnny. Plus some old friends we haven't see in ages!
While there we went to the Houston Zoo. We started out in the petting zoo/play area.
Jackson was all for getting to the real animals, however.

I'm exhausted! What a whrilwind. I do have to agree with you about those shoes one summer vs the next. Looks like you had tons of fun.
