Dallas Arboreteum

On the first dry day in a long time (okay, it drizzled the whole way there), the boys and I headed to the Dallas Arboreteum for the Great Pumpkin Festival.

They've got these great storybook houses for the kids to run around.

Hall's Farm

Jackson was sick this day, so Noah got to visit the farm with Brad.

This is the face we get when we try to tell him what to do.
Noah LOVES tractors. He just doesn't want to actually sit on one.
He still talks about the scary corn maze in which Daddy got him lost.

Luckily he was there to find the way out.

Finally, that's one happy boy!

Jackson's Birthday

We celebrated Jackson's 6th birthday over Labor Day with a few family members. I can't believe he's getting to be such a big boy. He'll be taller than me before too long...and he'll still want me to carry him around sometimes. What will I do then?
Here he is singing Happy Birthday to himself.
Really straining to blow out that candle!
Admiring the cake I made for him. Gluten, casein, and egg free, of course.

He got some fun presents, but I think the hit of the day was the Wii from Uncle Gilbert.

I myself have perfected the art of Wii bowling while sitting on the couch.
Oh where does the time go?
