Dinosaur Valley State Park - Glen Rose, TX

We drove about an hour and a half to get to this great little state park. I remember going here when I was a teenager and swimming in the river. As you can see, the giant dinosaurs were lots of fun.
It was a windy day, though, so the pictures weren't all that great.
But we did our best.
Here we're getting ready to wet our feet in the river. We saw lots of people swimming, but I thought the water was a bit chilly.
Walking across the stones was a lot of fun!
Jackson didn't like the water running across the rocks. He and I only went halfway and stood in the middle of the river splashing.
As you can see, he was thoroughly unimpressed.
Noah, though, went all the way across in Brad's arms (where the tracks were ) and then got to walk back.
That was one happy little boy!
In another part of of the river, the water was deeper and many people were swimming.
Jackson, of course, loved throwing rocks in the water.
Noah, though, liked splashing! We had to drag him away kicking and screaming when it was time to go. Brad also scared all the kids out of the river by yelling, "hey, there's a snake over here in the water!"

Here I got to see some tracks in a shallow ledge. Pretty awesome, don't you think? Brad stood in them and said they were pretty deep. We'll definitely be back. There's a part of the river we haven't explored yet. There you can see really large prints. We'll go when it's warmer and bring our swimsuits. I can't wait!
