A tale of a Dyson

Brad and I've been thinking about getting a Dyson vacuum ever since they came out. With two dogs, two kids, and a lot of carpeting, we do lots of vacuuming.

However, the cost of one always kept me from going for it. They're pretty pricey. But, lo and behold, Linens 'n Things is offering $50 giftcards with the purchase of a Dyson, plus they emailed me a 20% off coupon. So, that's a great deal. Off we went today to pick one up.

It was works great! We got "the ball" which, instead of having four casters, glides on one big ball. It swivels and manuevers like butta, baby.

But the best reason for getting one so far (and making it so worth the money):

my husband, MY husband, put it together and vacuumed the living room as soon as we got home. Do you guys know Brad? If not, let me tell you, he doesn't clean. He especially doesn't vacuum unless he is first cajoled, bribed, or threatened .

But look at him now! Ah, isn't he cute?

Open House

Jackson's school had an open house the other day. Beforehand the PTA hosted a barbecue dinner in the cafeteria. Jackson did not enjoy this. He threw a bloody fit till I bribed him with my bracelet. Little jewelry thief. Noah wanted to run around and climb onto the stage with the other, big kids. Brad and I ate fast. Jackson was cool with hanging out in his classroom, though.

He got right down to business.

Noah really loves coming to school with Jackson. Everytime we drop off or pick up big brother, he runs around like he owns the place. Afterwards we decided to visit the bookfair in the library to get books for the classroom as well as for ourselves. Jackson was not happy about this. Noah wanted to run around with the big kids. Can you see where this is going? Needless to say, I've gotten very good at doing what I need to do very, very quickly.
