After living in this house for only, oh, 6 years, I finally convinced Brad we needed to do some painting. Woohoo!
We did three rooms...living room, dining room, and master bedroom.
The color in the living room is called hot chocolate. As you can see, I still need something for this piece of wall here. I want something big and dramatic. Any suggestions?

Brad is very proud of the new ceiling fan he installed. That sucker is a whopping 68". It comes with a cool remote. See that beam up there? It's about 15' high. Brad had to lean an extension ladder against it and climb up while carrying that monster fan. Lil' ole me held the ladder ;).
The dining room is done in two colors. The same hot chocolate underneath the chair rail, and Poppy Pods above it. I love the deep brown color on top.
We also moved some of the furniture around. The buffet used to be against the wall where the three pictures are now. And the table got a 90 degree rotation. I think it's much roomier this way.
We also carried the hot chocolate all the way through the foyer to the little hallway between the kids' bedrooms.
The bedroom is also in the poppy pods. We actually did the bedroom first, but since we had some extra paint leftover, I thought it would look good in the dining room as well.
As you can see, I have yet to decorate the room. I've got some shams being made for me, but I need something for over the bed. Again, something dramatic. But what???
You can see some pictures waiting to be hung resting on my craft table, down on the left-hand corner.
I also got a bookcase. I've been needing one forever, as you can see by all the books.
The only problem is I've still got more books. These are currently on the shelves in my closet. And of course I'm going to keep buying more.
Hmm, maybe I need another bookcase.

Since we're discussing bookcases, here's Jackson's.
And Noah's.
We spend a lot of time at the bookstores.
Next up will be the kitchen. After all that brown, I'm thinking...red.
