Halloween got off to an auspicious start this year when I woke up with a cold. Nothing major, but Brad took the day off so I could stay in bed. Woohoo!
He got Jackson off to school, took Noah to Little Gym, picked Jackson up from school, and then took them to the park and out to lunch. And I got to sleep! Yeah, it was kind of a crappy, sick sleep, but as those of you with young children can attest to, sleep is sleep.
When Jackson finally got home, he promptly came and jumped on my bed till I dragged my sorry ass out at 2:00. Good times.
Then, costumes! Or, rather, as my kids put it, "costumes suck! No way in hell we're wearing any of this crap."
So then, Spiderman pajamas!
And trick-or-treating!
Noah didn't want to carry his loot bag, so Jackson graciously held both most of the time.
At each house, Jackson rang the bell, yelled, "let's go inside!" And when the door opened, he did just that!
Noah mostly just liked running down the street and seemed annoyed that we kept stopping at all the houses. It was seriously slowing him down.
Still, we made it all the way down the street and got plenty of yummy candy.
Then we took the kids to a festival at a nearby church. They played some games, got more candy, and took a spooky hayride through the dark woods.
It was our best Halloween yet!
