Since we're finally getting around to putting laminate flooring in our living room, dining room, and office, we've decided not to take a big vacation. That doesn't mean we haven't been busy. Besides the little trip to Oklahoma back in May, we've been out and about around town. We've got a family membership to the zoo, and we've gone three times so far. Jackson talks about nothing but the zoo and asks to go almost everyday. We've been swimming at the Y and just joined up as members of the Fort Worth Science Museum, so we'll be going there a lot more often as well.
Tomorrow we're going to see Go Diego Live in Grand Prairie. We've been looking forward to that all year long!
Then on Sunday the kids and I are heading down to San Antonio to spend a few days. My friend and I are sharing a hotel suite with her two little girls (roughly the same age as my boys), so I'll let you know if we survive that. We're meeting up with other friends for a couple of days at Sea World. Well, I'm going to try one day and then decide if I want to go back the next. If not, we'll hit the children's museum. If the weather's not too hot, we might try a boat ride on the river walk.
You know, I took both kids to Seattle on my own last year...on a plane and everything...without blinking an eye. But the idea of wandering around SeaWorld this year with the two of them makes me nervous. I guess I don't like being hot and sweaty. It makes me very cranky. Hopefully the weather will be kind, as it's been around here so far this summer.
At any rate, that's our summer in a nut shell. Jackson starts school in about 6 weeks, and I've got to start planning his birthday party. Hope you guys are enjoying yourselves!
