Splash Day

Jackson's class had a splash day at school along with the pre-k class. There were sprinklers and water tables and wading pools and bubbles galore. The school district has a policy against younger siblings attending events during the day, so poor Noah had to miss out.
Jackson really liked the bubble machine.
What kid doesn't like bubbles?
He also liked painting with water and brushes.

I can't remember what he was trying to draw here. It's either a lion or a baby jaguar.
I think my little dragon boy had a great time!

Field Trip

Jackson had his first field trip today, to a little petting zoo and farm about half a mile away. He rode on the school bus. Since younger siblings aren't allowed on the bus, Noah and I followed in the van.

I managed to take three pictures before the camera batteries died. I suck. But anyway. Noah and I waited in the school parking lot to follow the bus. I heard Jackson screaming as soon as the school door opened. I crouched down so he couldn't see me. I could still hear him crying in the bus, but his teachers tell me he stopped after a few minutes.

Here are some friends of ours.
The farm which is pretty much in someone's backyard, had all kinds of little animals to pet - goats and pigs and ponies and ducks and bunnies. You know, typical stuff. Jackson kinda participated. It was really bright out, so of course, he needed time to adjust to that. They also got use an old fashion wringer to wring out some wet clothes and hang them on a clothes line, plant a bean in a little cup of dirt, sit on a saddle and play horseshoes, and take a hayride. It was fun!

Noah, man, he had a ball. The pre-k class came along as well, and Noah really thought he was a big kid. None of that holding mommy's hand or any of that crap for him.

Afterwards I hung back while Jackson's teachers took him back to the bus, and he got on without any problems. I'm so proud of my big boy!

Tomorrow is splash day. We'll see if he's gotten over his hatred of sprinklers yet.
Noah was determined to get him a goat or two.
