Thanksgiving '08

We celebrated Thanksgiving at home again this year. Uncles Tuan and Nick, Aunt Gerri, and cousins Nicholas, Micah, and Cody came over to have dinner with us. The kids, being MY kids, ate their meal before hand. Jackson had chicken, broccoli, and rice casserole, and Noah had mac and cheese. One of these years they are going to eat with us!

Everyone else dug into the feast of fried turkey (thanks, Nick!), dressing, gravy, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, cranberry relish, and gruyere gourges (cheese puffs).

For dessert we had apple pie, pumpkin pie, and something new I started making this year, pumpkin crunch.
Then while we all struggled to stay awake, Noah went wild. Nick tried to get him to walk on his back, but he discovered it was more fun to beat on his uncle's back instead. "Pow pow! I love powing!"
And then he spent an indordinate amount of time attacking Cody and making him carry him around.

We had a great day. Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving, too!

Fall Happenings

We've been pretty busy during the month of November. First Grandma Carolyn came to visit, and we all went to the Fall Festival at Jackson's school.

Then the kids and I went down to Rosenberg to visit my family. While there we went to the First Colony Mall to eat, play, and visit Barnes and Noble.

Then I went to Jackson's Thanksgiving Feast at school.

Fall is just the best time of the year!
